This installation, in collaboration with director Alex Cook, abstracts and expands a single song and its music video into a real-world, inhabitable space. Where the original song is led with propulsive urgency, this version pulls in the opposite direction, revealing the sense of dwelling that can only lie within a song stretched wide enough to walk through.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSon Lux’s guitarist Rafiq Bhatia, who led the rework, took the song apart at the level of tempo itself, drawing on a lineage of artists who used the mechanics of playback as an instrument in its own right. \"In this age of device dependency and information onslaught, we're drawn to the legacy left by past pioneers like DJ Screw or Delia Derbyshire who used technology to take the tempo down,\" Bhatia says. \"Sound can create a sanctuary, a space in which we can remember what it feels like to feel present in our bodies and lost in our thoughts.
