Lumber Club Marfa was established by a dad for his daughters and their friends who were interested in learning how to make things using power tools. Members of Lumber Club Marfa meet after school on Fridays and learn the various tasks of selecting wood, cutting, sanding, drilling and threading required to build each stool.
Stools are made from a range of domestic and exotic hardwoods and, when possible, utilize scrap lumber sourced from furniture makers from all over the country. Each stool is unique, hand-stamped and hand-numbered.
