A dress made for a child, an embroidery piece completed over several years, lace knitted absentmindedly, a sweater made from whatever yarn was on hand… What can we learn from the things that were made for family, loved ones, and for oneself, and then carefully stored? This book is about handicraft culture, presenting a collection of works by the Minatomachi Handicraft Club in Nagoya, which artist Miyata Asuka has run since 2017. Besides introducing the works of seven crafters in their 60s to 90s, whom Miyata met during her activities, the book includes interviews with the crafters, an essay by artist Nagashima Yurie, and a discussion by researcher Yamazaki Akiko.
