Beginning Pencil Kitaboshi (2)

Kitaboshi Beginning Pencil is a special type of pencil, sometimes called kohitsu shosha, intended to simulate a stiff brush pen. With a super-dark, soft lead that lays down tons of graphite, these pencils reward hand control with expressive, interesting lines—from pale and thin to almost marker-thick.

We love Kitaboshi's two-tone design, which highlights the beautiful cedar with a simple dip in semi-opaque white paint. It's finished with a black endcap printed "10B" for quick identification.

This two-pack contains two sharpened Kitaboshi Beginning Pencils, each with a sturdy plastic pencil cap. Sharpen these pencils with any standard sharpener.
