Randi Malkin Steinberger's “fun pack” is inspired by the idea of the old school baseball cards that included trading cards of players & a stick of gum.
As seen in her MASS MoCA exhibit “The Archive of Lost Memories"--these limited edition packs (100 were made) replicate the artist's process of search & surpise; collecting old photos in big lots and anxiously digging through them to find treasures.
Inside you’ll find vintage photos and slides from Steinberger's collection along with a newly printed sticker and postcard, both featuring Steinberger's intervention on a vernacular photo. To mirror another childhood memory, that of the Golden Ticket from Willie Wonka, you may find an original artwork of included in some of the packs! Signed by the artist.
